RC FlightPath is led by Bert Magbanua — FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, competitive RC helicopter and fixed‑wing flyer, and UAV systems engineer with more than 25 years of combined experience across computer science, engineering, and technical construction disciplines.
With a foundation built on five years of collegiate science at USC, two decades in enterprise‑level IT, and nearly twenty years as a licensed general contractor, Bert brings a uniquely multidisciplinary approach to RC aviation. His instruction blends physics, aerodynamics, structural engineering, electronics, and real‑world problem‑solving — giving students a deeper understanding of how aircraft behave and why.
Operating out of Sunland, CA and training at
multiple airfields across Southern California, RC FlightPath supports everyone from first‑time pilots to advanced commercial UAV clients. Bert’s work has appeared on the Discovery Channel, and his competitive background includes the Xtreme Flight Championship in Muncie, IN.
